Privacy Policy — Simplicity

Simplicity is a private workforce-management app for employees and staff of Simplicity Projects Pvt Ltd ("we", "us"). It is not a consumer app and has no public sign-up — access is by company-issued employee code only. This policy explains what we collect and why.

1. Information we collect

Identity & profile: name, employee code, email, phone, date of birth, blood group, emergency/family contacts, home and work address, designation, and (entered by HR) bank and salary details.
Photos & media: profile photo, attendance check-in selfie (anti-spoofing), and receipt / daily-progress-report images you upload.
Communications: chat messages and voice/video call audio between staff within your company.
Location: precise and approximate location, in the foreground and — only while signed in and on an active shift — in the background. See section 3.
Device: push-notification token and basic device info needed to deliver alerts and calls.

2. How we use it

To run attendance and payroll, verify on-site/office punch-in, power team chat and calls, manage leave/expenses/daily reports, and let your employer's HR and supervisors coordinate field staff. We do not sell your data, show third-party ads, or track you across other companies' apps or websites.

3. Location — what "Always" means

Location is used for two things: (a) foreground punch-in verification and pinning your work location on the map; and (b) background ("Always") geofence compliance while you are signed in and punched in — confirming you remain inside your approved work zone (office, site, work-from-home, or official-duty trip) during work hours.

Your employer/HR can see your location only during your work hours while on shift. Background location stops entirely when you sign out. iOS shows its blue background-location indicator while this is active. You can change or revoke the permission anytime in iOS Settings; if you do, attendance features are limited but the rest of the app keeps working.

4. Legal basis & consent

Processing is based on your employment relationship with Simplicity Projects Pvt Ltd and your in-app consent, which we request with a clear explanation before any system permission prompt.

5. Sharing & processors

Your attendance, location and work data are visible to authorised HR, supervisors and admins within your own company only. We use trusted processors solely to operate the app: Supabase (database, authentication, storage), Expo (push notifications), and LiveKit (voice/video calls). They process data on our behalf under their own security terms.

6. Security & retention

Data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS and protected by access controls. We keep records for as long as your employment and applicable legal/compliance obligations require. Some attendance and audit records may be retained in anonymised or attributed form after account deletion where law requires.

7. Deleting your account & data

You can delete your account at any time in the app: Profile → Delete account. This permanently removes your profile, photos, messages, location history, device tokens and associated records, except the minimal audit data we are legally required to keep. You may also email us to request deletion.

8. Children

Simplicity is intended for working adults and is not directed to anyone under 16.
